Greetings all from Forest Grove, Oregon, near Portland, where I have relocated for a while. For those of you emailing and asking if I’ve ‘fallen off the face of the earth’ – no, not yet. I’ve just been spending a lot of time working on two books, traveling, especially the Fringe Festival circuit, and doing my one-man play on some upscale cruise lines and smaller theatres, which sadly, are still recovering from the pandemic. And moving from the right coast to the left coast with a pit-stop along the way in the Midwest. Actually the pit-stop in the Midwest may have been a pothole!
I’m organizing a series of performances for the northwest of the USA from September thru the end of 2026, and finishing up the book drafts.
Happy to report within the past year’ish I have won Fringe Festival Best Male Solo Actor three times and my show has made the Best List Finals at several. I have to say I’m now over Fringe – more and more restrictions not to my taste. But I AM grateful for the exposure!
In addition to my award-winning ‘What Could Go Wrong’ (www.whatcouldgowrong-theplay.com) I have four new one-man pop-up / mini -shows, each talking candidly (duh) about Iconic Female and Male Singers, with behind the scenes photos and stories my publishers thought were ‘too hot’ for my #1 Amazon Bestselling book, Liar Alleged, which is (happily) seeing a resurgence of sales, interest, podcasts and bookings.
Really the best way to reach me these days is my primary email: dvdavidvassdv@gmail.com . I have an existing email for the play, the book, my Experience Yoga Laughter (www.experiencelaughteryoga.com) free ‘happenings’ in cities where I do my show, my David Vass website, and am having a blast here in my elder years.
Need to contact me (?), what with all those webmail’s and Outlook being a hassle for them all, just use the one in this blog.
A reminder, if you have not yet ‘starred’ my book on Amazon, please do so. A five-star will bring you great good fortune, I promise! Please know I am humbled by the support of so many of you. Toodle Loo for now, David Vass
